OnstageAI and Lucerne Festival are officially launching a groundbreaking collaboration, inaugurating a new chapter in classical music recording.
The official beginning is marked by our first autonomous recording at the prestigious KKL Luzern. This inaugural production captured a sold-out performance by the Lucerne Festival Orchestra under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The evening featured a repertoire of Beethoven and Bruckner, with the distinguished pianist Seong-Jin Cho appearing as the soloist.
For this milestone, we deployed our autonomous video production system. OnstageAI software, integrating our proprietary "Sound-Understanding" technology with robotic Sony PTZ cameras, took on the role of a virtual director. The system analyzed the musical score in real time, precisely controlling camera movements without any operators on stage. Thanks to this technology, we were able to capture the intimacy of the acoustics and the virtuosity of the performance in stunning 4K, making this exceptional evening accessible to a global audience.
